Introducing Our Field Editor

Bonnie TillandBonnie Tilland is a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington. Her dissertation, Hateful Bonds, Heartwarming Bonds: Dramatic Redistribution of Affective Weight in the Twenty-first Century South Korean Family, examines the ways in which South Korean women narrate their experiences of family, and negotiate their families’ social reproduction through engagement with circulating discourses–particularly television dramas. Broader research and teaching interests include media reception, new kinship studies, food and taste, and transnational East Asia.
