January 2013 was the single most active month in the 3-year history of Dissertation Reviews, with our all-time single-day visitor record being broken on January 24, 2013.

To give everyone a sense of how diverse the Dissertation Reviews scholarly community is, here are some interesting facts about last month:

The top ten countries from which our readers hailed: U.S., U.K., Germany, Canada, India, Japan, France, Taiwan, South Korea, Australia.

Some of our most highly read pieces last month:

  • Bill Rankin’s review of the National Archives at College Park [link]
  • Mana Kia’s review of “Cosmopolitan Encounters: Sanskrit and Persian at the Mughal Court,” by Audrey Truschke [link]
  • Li Guo’s essay “The Promise and Perils of Feminist Criticism in Chinese Studies” [link]
